Mondays are Hard

So, after two days of active play, giggles, smiles, flying, drool-bombing, bouncing, singing, and cuddling, as well as some hard fought naps, and the tears, cries and frustrations that precede the inevitable, going back to work is really hard. Linnaea’s afternoon nap yesterday was taken curled up on my chest – both of us very content. And here I sit, in front of my computer, 91 miles away, doing engineering stuff (obviously, that’s why I’m blogging…), with memories of the weekend – bright eyes, wide happy smiles, and ears that seem to stick out farther every day from a head with increasingly fewer hairs – distracting me. I had a bunch of “important” things to do this weekend, but for some mysterious reason, what seemed truly important was being with my daughter. And at least I did that. Monday mornings are hard. But things get better in the evening… =)
